Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover!
![]() |
Have you heard the saying? Yes, I certainly have, often. I
used to be one of that many people who judge things from the outside. I admit
that. But, when I felt for myself, how sad it was when judged by its look,
alone ... I became aware, so far I was wrong.
One day, when I first entered to a new school— still
registering for school — I felt that way. At that time I went there with my
cousin using a motorcycle. Arriving at school, suddenly, all eyes were on me
and my cousin. I heard those who are twitching, talking to their friends with
eyes fixed on us.
I just looked down, after my cousin finished parking his
motorcycle, we walked together to the registration place. When we passed a
group of other students, my hearing immediately caught what they were talking
about.
"Are they dating?"
"New students? How dare you date?"
"How shameless!"
"Over acting!"
Yes ... More or less, that's what I heard from their mouths.
Indeed, me and my cousin were the same. My cousin is a male and I am a female. They
thought that we were lovers.
But ... do those people have the right to accuse and pout
without knowing the truth? Everyone has the right to argue, that is their right,
but ... if you directly criticize with a frontal statement like that, isn't it
the same as accusing them without proof? Which might hurt the person he
accused.
As I have written above, don't judge a book by it's cover!
Can you just make it a good cover but the inside is ugly? And also vice versa.
And from that moment on, I try not to judge someone directly
if I haven’t known them inside and out. Because of what? Because it
hurts.
